First Look Inside the Pages Included
On Monday, Toronto based Udon Entertainment confirmed what we told you about a couple weeks back: Udon Entertainment will bring the 300 page History of Sonic the Hedgehog hardcover to audiences in North America.
Udon’s own press release actually claims the book will be coming across the Atlantic sooner than previously cited. The publisher is aiming for a September release. An official price point of $49.99 has also been cemented by Udon Entertainment, though that pre-order link at Amazon still lists a $31.81 sale price.
The best thing to come out of Monday’s release, however, was a peek inside the book that, for many, will be the first time anyone has seen the pages translated into English. You can have a look at that below in our gallery.

Wait, Tails was inspired by the Nine Tails? The Nine Tails inside Naruto? I cannot really read that small text, but am I reading that right?

It’s saying they were both inspired by the same myth. Keep in mind the Naruto manga started half a decade after Sonic 2 came out.

The nine tailed fox is part of Asian mythology. A lot of things are based on them: Tails, Naruto, Vulpix and Ninetales from Pokémon, etc.

Okay, I have never used Amazon before. How do I pre-order? I have an account btw. Do I just click on “add to shopping cart” or is there something that I’m not seeing? It also says available October 9; does that mean that after Oct. 9 there will be no more pre-orders?
Ahhh, I’m deeply confused, and I really want this.
Hopefully that’s an early translation in the images? Some of the English in there is pretty awkward.
