Along with A New, Unannounced IP

While next to nothing will be shown publicly by Sega at Gamescom in Germany next week, a much different approach is being taken for the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, which begins August 31st.

There, nine Sega titles will be on display across two booths, according to a post today on the Sega blog.  That includes Sonic Adventure 2, Jet Set Radio and the Western debut of Phantasy Star Online 2.  The re-release of NiGHTS Into Dreams will also make its debut at the show.  Boxed titles Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and Aliens: Colonial Marines will also be playable.

The most curious item noted in Sega’s announcement today is that a new IP for digital release will be shown at the event as well, playable along with everything else.  This looks to be completely new, so don’t hold your breath for Shenmue or anything like that.  We’ll try to track down some details ahead of the event.

The Cave and Hell Yeah! round out Sega’s playable roster for PAX.  Thanks to AugieD who tipped us on Twitter.
