A Potential Flip-Flop in Fans’ Favor
Here is an intriguing discovery uncovered by Sega Addicts. Even though Sega initially announced they would have no formal presence at this year’s Gamescom, that stance softened to just a closed-door appearance.
Now, it appears Sega plans two booths on the floor of the main event. A search of Gamescom’s floor plans indicates a presence at Halls 5.2 and 7.1. The former is only open to business and industry personnel, while the latter will be completely public, open to all.
It’s not clear whether the booth will actually consist of Sega personnel directly, or whether we will see one of their new physical media distributors in Europe represent on their behalf.
Gamescom begins Wednesday in Germany, and there is word Sega will hold some kind of press conference at the event. We will bring you everything you need to know from Europe’s largest gaming expo starting later this week.
