Version 1.4 Restores the Corrupted
Sega has fixed the glitch in Sonic 4: Episode I‘s iOS edition that previously rendered save states for the game inaccessible.
The newest build, version 1.4, was pushed to the App Store Wednesday. Among other bug fixes, the new version, in theory, recover save states that version 1.3 corrupted. We’ve received one tip in that claims the append indeed works as advertised.
Thanks to all who sent this into us, either via traditional News Tips or via Twitter.

It did not work for me. At all. Still missing original data – be warned, if you started a new game and then put through the update, all it will do is keep your new saved data.
Sega’s “update” fiasco is a major PR own goal and is cementing my view further that they are very much “also-rans” of the games industry at the moment.
Shameful behaviour and little in the way of a public apology either in the press or on their forums.
All my 700 lifes -.-
It’s a good thing I don’t play games on iOS!
