But he will still produce some games

We have some sad news today. Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the creator of some of the most acclaimed musical games in Sega’s IP library  Space Channel 5 and Rez, along with spiritual successor Child of Eden has retired from game production and moved on to teaching.

He announced his intentions of leaving game development back at an interview at Tokyo Game Show, but he has now definitely retired from the board of directors of Q Entertainment, the company he was working for lately.

His new job as a Project Professor of the Graduate School of Media Design at Keio University, in Tokyo will not let him totally out of the gaming fields, since he has declared that he will continue to offer advice to Q Entertainment and continue to produce games and further expand his expertise in the field of media design and innovative content production.
