Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed 3DS & Vita versions, delayed in Europe Too?by Andrea Gil November 6, 2012
December 7th, possible new release date
Looks like European fellas won’t be as lucky as they though.
It’s widely known that Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS is delayed until December in the States, but it was uncertain if Europeans will get the same treatment or not, since Sega Europe hasn’t said a thing about a delay.
In the latest European trailers, and even in Sega Europe’s Press Vault, the game is dated for November 16th, the same day as regular consoles version, but according to Spanish site Sonic Paradise report, some European retailers are changing their release date to December 7th.
On top of that, Steve Lycett has revealed at The Sonic Stadium Message Boards that a November release “is unlikely”, since they’re still working on them.
Given we’re still working on it, 16th November UK release is unlikely. I think SEGA either have or are due to announce the handheld dates over here, they’re slightly later than the home console versions.
He also talked about the PC version of the game, and confirms taht it will be realeased later than consoles version.
Again, I can’t say much here, it’s SEGA call to announce dates. All I can say right now is it’s going to after the console release date, but that’s all I can say.
Not only that, he also talked about battle mode in Sega’s official boards. He confirmed that battle mode will not have AI racers.
Incidentally, we did originally want to put in Battle AI, but it’s a whole secondary AI system to write (you can’t use the Race AI for Battle AI as it’s quite different) but with all the features we have crammed in, we just didn’t have time to do it. Especially with 5 platforms to do!
