PC exclusive character, but what an exclusive
Today has been a crazy day for those who want spoilers for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. First, we got hold of who the latest unlockable in the game is, thanks to Spanish site Sonic Paradise, and now we can also say who the third guest in the game is.
Many have been rumored, from Hatsune Miku to Segata Sanshiro or even more Wreck-it Ralph characters, but the real deal is that Valve’s Team Fortress characters are in the game.
And you might ask…characters? More than one? Yes. Three of them, in fact. There won’t be more than one character at the same time, since Sumo stated a long time ago that they won’t be able to put more than one character in a vehicle at a time due to technological issues. They’ve got a pretty interesting way to dodge that here.
Three famous Team Fortress characters will be available at the game, but they will collectively only take up one character slot as the driver will change every time we transform into a different vehicle. For the land vehicle, we will use the Pyro. For the water section, Heavy will be the captain of the ship, and the Spy will drive during the aerial segments.
Again, we don’t have any image or video of the characters; we only have file names of textures and models inside of the game disk data. We can pretty sure, however, that this is a PC exclusive, even if it was found in the Xbox 360 version. It’s not the first time this has happened even outside of Sega, since it’s pretty commonplace for game developers to leave unused characters or other version exclusives inside all of the game versions . It happened with the first Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, since Banjo, Mii and Avatar game files were found in the PC version of the game.

@All: I did not expect the inclusion of these characters in the game. It really doesn’t make a difference in my final decision of buying the game, but I am sure my hardcore PC gamer friends will find it icing on the cake.

I keep meaning to ask, what’s your problem with Miku again? (Who is she supposed to be “pandering” to?) Did some fat guy dressed as Miku touch you inappropriately? That’s no good.
We seriously need photos to back this up. I will not believe this for a second if photo evidence is not shown. Granted, this is fucking incredible, but really, we need video and photos. Regardless, good news.

I’m sorry for those that don’t like this roster but Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Metal Sonic,, Eggman, Wreck-it Ralph, Nights, Vyse, Beat and the cameos of Ristar and Segata Sanshiro are enough for me.it would be nice if they bring back Ryo and put Team fortress’s guys on consoles

Not to mention the Vocaloids are disgustingly overrated.

God dammit. What crummy choices these turned out to be. Got so hyped but then all of a sudden its clones and guest-character after guest character. These characters don’t even make freaking sense. What does Sonic have to do with TF2? This game has become nothing more than a publicity stunt for Sega, with Nascar, with Disney, and now with frickin Valve.
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO ACTUALLY WANTED TO SEE SEGA CHARACTERS?

I’m not totally bummed out, until someone mentioned her she wasn’t even on my radar as far as who I wanted in this game. It would have been nice to play as her though.

But Sega exclusively makes all the games, she’s not completely removed from Sega. Besides, would she be any worse a fit then Danica or the (admittedly awesome) TF2 characters?
