Spoilers ahead

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way… what, it’s not Christmas yet? No, we’re not talking about those adverts who appear randomly at the site, no. We’re just hyped for Christmas this year, and You will too, because Sumo Digital has got a present for you in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

If you don’t want to spoil the surprise, you might want to stop reading here. If not…go ahead.

Next December 25th you’re going to have a big surprise when you fire up your Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed game. Alex Kidd, one of the DLC characters discovered not so long ago, is not actually planned for DLC. Instead, it appears he is a timed unlock – and will appear just in time for Christmas.

The trick has been found by changing the console time and date when you’re disconnected from internet, and it works for both Ps3 and Xbox 360. If you connect it again, the clock will reset and Alex Kidd disappears, until the real Christmas day comes up.  Such a way to reference Christmas Nights!

This discovery also leaves up a question. If Alex Kidd isn’t DLC… what’s up with Football Manager and Shogun characters? Will be them timed unlocks too? Or maybe PC exclusive characters?

Like Ulala says… Stay tuned!
