Test Your Skills in an LA Arcade

Official game tournaments are often few and far between, but it looks like Sega wants to change that for fans of its fighting game series. Today, the company announced their partnership with marketing firm Level Up to bring players the Sega Cup: Virtua Fighter Tournament. Based around the most recent iterations of the company’s popular fighting franchise, the annual tournament will be held at the Super Arcade in Los Angeles, CA, and there will be cash prizes awarded to the top 16 players. Sega has also created a companion app for iOS devices, Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown Guide, to help players collectively increase their knowledge and skill.

The strategy guide app can be downloaded from the App Store for $0.99. Sega Cup: Virtua Fighter Tournament will take place in Los Angeles on April 20th, 2013, so if you live in or near that area and enjoy the game, you may want to keep that date in mind.
