Sonic Generations Keeps Inching Up

The last GFK Chart Track ranks for the year are out, accounting for the last shopping day before Christmas and a few days after.

The combined sales of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed in the UK were enough to place 16th overall in the multiplatform top 40.  That’s down but only a place compared to the previous week.  On XBOX 360, the game dropped two places on the system-specific chart to 15th, while the Playstation 3 version moved up two places to 14th.  Versions on Wii U and the Playstation Vita each moved down a place on their system charts to 4th and 8th respectively.

Still making a mark in the multiplatform top 40 are Sonic Generations and Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.  The latter moved down two placed but still charted 26th, while Generations moved up two places at 32nd.  It would appear some fans still wanted a proper Sonic platformer this Holiday season.

We haven’t kept tabs on the unofficial VGChartz numbers for ASR Transformed, but the latest update puts their estimate at close to 400,000 sold overall.  That number should go up before all is said and done crunching the numbers for the year, but anything close to a million at this point would still be miraculous.
