Debuts at Weekend’s MAGfest; Online Next Week
The dates for the debut of Eddie Lebron’s Sonic are now official, and fans going to MAGfest this weekend in the Washington DC area will get the first crack at seeing the finished product.
On the fan film’s Facebook page, producers announced the premiere will take place this Saturday at 1PM ET in Panel Room 4. T-shirts and other related swag will also be sold at the event. From there, the rest of the world will see the film online beginning January 9th, next Wednesday.
The hybrid of live action and CGI has been in the works for a couple of years now. Lebron even brought on the original voice of Sonic, Jaleel White, to reprise his role for the unofficial feature.

I’m interested to see how it’ll turn out, though I’m sure facepalms may be in order here and there.
Sonic’s design was a very different choice, but I can roll with it.
Sonic does look a little funny, but I think I can let it slide, yeah, I’m intrigued
Wow, it’s so close, I can’t wait.
OMG I cannot tell you how excited I am! Been waiting for this for 2 years. And hearing Jaleel White reprise the role of Sonic again made my year. Now I get to finally see it finished.
I cannot wait. Been waiting so long for this. Cannot wait any longer.
I’m curious. Maybe it might be a hit. Who knows?
Just in time for my birthday, let’s hope this one is a doozy
ICAN’TWAITICAN’TWAITICAN’TWAIT
