Worlds–And Anniversaries–Collide
Today, Archie Comics released official solicits for the upcoming Sonic and Mega Man comics for April and May. We include the Mega Man series in this article, as readers will be in the thick of the crossover arc dubbed Worlds Collide by this time, so we will bring you any solicits or preview pages from that series as needed.
For many, much of what is covered below may be old hat, with several covers revealed weeks ago. Even so, there’s something new for you; Archie will release a new Sonic Super Special magazine in mid-April to mark the comic’s 20th anniversary, quelling fears the magazine had been relegated to the digest format. If nothing else, the synopses should help you get ready for the major milestone for both the Sonic and Mega Man series.
Take a look at the synopses, along with covers and alternate covers if available in our gallery below.

Project X Zone was only the beginning.
Sonic Universe #51 and Megaman #25 deserve to have their covers made into a wall scroll or something, they are awesome. Hmm..maybe ill see what my local custom print company can do!
Awesome, glad the fight didn’t started just because of Sonic robophobia, wonder if those evil dopplegangers are Metal Sonic and a pirate copy of Mega Man…
Also I hope that at the end of the fight Sonic transforms into Super Sonic and Mega Man into Hyper Mega Man (I’m not making that up, google it), that would make a very explosive ending.
There is a Hyper Mega Man?!
*checks google*
Damn, now i want this to happen….
Speaking of, I had always wondered why Hyper Megaman was an exclusive thing to Marvel vs. Capcom instead of an in-game ability. I guess it would be overpowered, but it could always be an item you have to plan carefully to use since you’ll use up the ammo in one shot, and after you use it, you have to build up all that energy back to use it again. Iunno.
huh no julie-su or lien-da on the cover of the SSS magezine…guess they ARE really getting rid of all of penders characters, it’s kinda sad honestly because i grew up with those characters. but at least scourge, and the freedom fighters are there. though i wonder how the whole re-telling stories will work with most of the old issues having penders characters as big parts.
on the plus side im loving the sonic and megaman crossover covers! that’s gonna be epic
