Game a Top 10 Seller Last Week
It appears the 3DS release of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed helped a great deal to bring the entire franchise sales up significantly last week in Britain.
The latest GFK Chart Track numbers released today show that ASR Transformed jumped to the #10 spot overall in the multiplatform top 40. That’s an eight place increase from the previous week, and occurred even as the XBOX 360 edition dropped three places, and the PS3 version remained flat week to week.
The 3DS version helped, no doubt. It was the top 3DS seller for the week in the UK, according to the charts.
Elsewhere, Football Manager 2013 dropped four places to 16th, and Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games moved up a place to 32nd. We’ll see if the release of Aliens: Colonial Marines does anything to shore up Sega’s spot in the top charts this week.
If and when we have unofficial numbers to share on the 3DS side, we will pass them along.

That’s good news. I had a feeling the 3DS version would do well
Ladies and Gentlemen, I think SaASRT will be a million seller!
@sonicriders02
Of course it’s going to be a million-seller. In fact, I think it will sell at least 0.5 million more by the end of the year.
More important, is it good? I want this so much. When is the US release date?
At least SUMO treats the 3DS as a legit platform.
Hopefully SEGA will start to also…SEGA could literally make millions on a Sonic 3DS. Sonic Gen 3DS sold really nicely for the average game that it was.

From what I’ve seen, it’s nearly identical (except for graphics) to the console versions. It releases on February 12th (tomorrow!).
