Strangely, In the Same Area
Do you remember when we showed that game breaking bug in the Wii U version of Sonic & All-Star Racing Transformed‘s Burning Depths stage? It has since been fixed, but one would think with the extra development time allotted, trouble like that would have been ironed out for the portable release.
It appears that’s not the case. Here’s a video from Youtuber BlueTidalGamer showing what is in effect the same glitch on the same stage in the Nintendo 3DS version, with the addition of extra CPUs trying to crunch through a door that won’t open.
Unlike the Wii U bug, it does not appear this one will hinder your progress in the World Tour. We originally said to not expect a patch for problems like this, as it was our understanding retail games could not be patch. As it turns out, Nintendo fixed that problem last April–so should these bugs become prevalent, the burden is on Sega and Sumo to determine whether it’s worth such a fix. We regret the confusion.

i don’t have that glitch
Rofl!! That’s hilarious! That bit at the end where Amy just shoved Sonic out of the way in a panic and Sonic replied “Sorry” had me giggling like a schoolgirl!
Oh, Sumo. You make me laugh.
When I played through this stage, I didn’t have any problems, so it only seems to be a every-once-in-a-while glitch.
Well MK7 was patched only because the game could read from the SD card. DLC, updates and other extras are only available when the SD card is inserted. So that means Sega could easily make an update to fix the many problems of the game and have it installed on the SD card. Lag, glitches and very poor graphics quality needs to be fixed, SEGA!!!
