$3K Sought For “A super-sized 50-plus page graphic novel”
Ian Flynn is a very busy man. Between writing the Sonic, Mega Man, and other comics, we wonder how he’s found the time for this new project he and Sonic comic alum Dawn Best are now asking for your help on.
It’s called Sylvanna. Meant to be a graphic novel released online first as a webcomic series, the effort now has a Kickstarter page with the intent of raising $3,000. Already, nearly $2,600 of that has been collected since the launch this morning. The synopsis, according to the page:
A huge world populated with intriguing characters and a story you won’t soon forget! The series follows a colorful cast caught up in a cold war between the two sentient races of the title planet: The virtuous Bats and the tenacious Avians. When the great Hawk-God, Cyngro, returns to the physical realm, shifting the tides of war in the Avian race’s favor, it is up to the forces of good and a rogue team of Bats to stop his quest for power. This incredible all-ages story promises to feature a sweeping continuity peppered with important lessons that boast plenty of heart. Oh, and it’ll be as visually dazzling as we can stand to make it!
Flynn and Best say much of the funds will go toward producing the GN, with the rest of the money going toward maintaining the web comic, space, and the like. If you would like to help, click this link.

@Trez
Thanks for broadening the subject. Characters like Shadow, Fiona, and the rest also have their key differences which makes them more unique; including distinctive characteristics, personalities and skills/abilities to make them easier to identify. Same goes for Silver, Morain, Dr. Zachery, and Sonic’s own family (Uncle Chuck, Manic, Sonia, Anita, ect.) They all share similarities with the main cast not because the authors were lazy or anything, but because they’re members of the same species.
Hey at least he’s trying to come up with his own thing….unlike some other ex Sonic comic person we all know and despise lol
