The Little Adventure That Could

Three Sega titles made the cut on Major Nelson’s Top 20 XBOX Live Arcade sellers for last week.

The two holdovers from the last time data was available, two weeks ago, were Sonic Adventure 2 and The Cave.  SA2 actually rose again, moving up to 9th from 13th.  With now almost five months in release on XBOX Live, this kind of success may become increasingly difficult for Sega to ignore.

The Cave, meanwhile, dropped to 11th last week from 7th place.  The newcomer to the Top 20 was Jet Set Radio, returning to the charts at 14th last week.

    Impossible to ignore, it already must be for him. But Iizuka wouldn’t dare to make Adventure 3 in fear that it tarnishes the name of his beloved baby game SA2.

    At least that’s why I think he’s not making it. Ever. Would I want it? Yeah (as long as it’s more based on Adventure 1).

    I wonder if an alternate universe exists, are Sonic fans are crying out for a Sonic 3D Blast 2….
    Either way.
    YAY Jet Set Radio getting more attention. Love that game. I love creative Arcade style games. I’m not a particular fan of where Arcade games are going these days, but I love Jet Set Radio, and Crazy Taxi, and to some extent NIGHTS(though I don’t like it as much as the other 2).

    That’s five months since SA2 was re-released and it’s back in the top 10. Not bad for an 11 year old game.

    I agree with Tristan, I hope SEGA does take note of SA2′s success and gives us more ports of old Sonic games. Especially some of the more obscure titles like Knuckles Chaotix.
