Import Players Take Note
While we still have no idea whether it will find its way to the West, and Sega has remained mum on releasing the original PC edition of Phantasy Star Online 2 in English despite previous assurances it’s coming across the Pacific, Sega continued to expand PSO2′s reach yesterday in Japan with a release on the Playstation Vita.
If you have a Japanese PSN account, the game can be downloaded for free right now. New features include trophies, cross-platform play with the PC version, augmented reality features, and the release of the story mode’s next chapter before PC players.
If you prefer to buy a physical copy of PSO2 for Vita, our friends at CDJapan can help you out. Purchasing the “special package” grants you some extras, including music and item codes–and it helps us in the process.
