A 3DS Release–and Perhaps Beyond–Look Likely
Many eagle-eyed fans have taken note of this listing from Australia’s Office of Film and Literature Classification. Tails Adventures, known otherwise in the singular, has been rated PG for release on “Multi Platform”, according to the classification’s listing.
In the past, that has usually meant a release on the Nintendo 3DS. Sega has released a string of Sonic games from the Game Gear era on the portable system, often with enhancements. But the Multi Platform listing could indicate more.
For those unaware, Tails Adventures was a solo adventure for the fox, first released in 1995. Instead of pure traditional platforming, the game utilized puzzle elements, item collection, and exploration to proceed. The game has already been re-released twice, first in Sonic Adventure DX and then in Sonic Gems Collection.
It shouldn’t be long before Tails Adventures pops up on the 3DS eShop somewhere in the world. Beyond that, we’ll let you know of any additional re-releases.
