A Pirate’s Life for Us

Today, two early previews were released for Archie’s Sonic comics in late Summer–the first batch to follow the Mega Man / Worlds Collide crossover.

If you’re looking for those disputed comic characters, they are nowhere to be found in Sonic #252, at least on the surface.  The main issue will deal with the after effects of the crossover, which many fans do believe could be as significant as the aftermath from the Sonic Genesis arc two years back.

In Sonic Universe, the mood is a bit lighter.  Pirate Plunder Panic will be the next arc chronicled in the series.  Tracy Yardley will try his hand again at writing.  Judging from the main cover, it appears Amy Rose, Cream, Blaze, Marine, Bark and Bean will all partake.  We should note none of those characters are currently in dispute and all of them are official Sega properties.

But both issues will have variant covers; Sonic #252 will have a special Sega variant, and SU #55 will feature Blaze in its variant.

Courtesy of Destructoid and Newsarama, all four covers are available below.  For the moment, only a synopsis is available for Sonic #252; that is also below.
