New Japanese Mobile RPG Coming Soon
Sega has been very busy in the mobile space recently. After the worldwide mobile release of the remastered port of Sonic the Hedgehog just a few weeks ago, the company is at it again with a new action RPG entitled Record of Phantom Tower Griffon. According to Siliconera, the game will include a cooperative dungeon exploration mode as well as four-vs.-four guild battles. The game is also one of many Sega plans to release with the help of Aiming, a mobile development company founded in 2011 that focuses on online and multiplayer experiences.
Record of Phantom Tower Griffon is set to arrive on iOS and Android devices in Japan this June. Although no international release information has been announced, Sega’s agreement with Aiming is a global one, so you should expect their games to arrive in other countries sooner or later.
We have included a Japanese trailer for the game below, and we thank Canita for informing us of these recent developments. As always, if you’re aware of a news story you feel we should report on, send us a news tip via Twitter or the Send Tips link on the top of every page.
