Sonic, Space Harrier, Altered Beast all Rated in AU
Thus far, Sega has provided a fair bit of support for Nintendo and in particular the Nintendo 3DS, through eShop releases of classic Sega titles. We’ve already known about a version of the 1991 Sonic the Hedgehog made available for the 3DS in Japan, and we told you about Altered Beast earlier. But it now appears a couple other titles may be in the mix to come to the west.
Space Harrier and apparently Super Hang-On have also been in the works for the West; the former has already been classified along with Sonic and Altered Beast by Australia’s OFLC, which is a good sign that a game is being prepared for domestic release. Nintendo Life recently released a video montage of all four games on the 3DS so you can see how they would turn out with enhanced 3D ability. Though this would almost certainly shut out the Taxman and Stealth remastered Sonic from hitting the 3DS, it’s still nice to see an array of classic titles be introduced to new audiences.
Have a look at the video below. We will let you know if and when all four make it to the domestic 3DS eShop.
