SA2 Back at the Bronze Spot
There’s nothing quite like a big sale to boost activity of your products. In Sega’s case last week, their sale on XBOX Live last week prompted plenty of gamers to buy.
Data from last week released by the Major Nelson blog shows incredible success for the Sega sale to the tune of eleven of its titles making the top 20 purchases, seven of them Sonic games. Of those seven, Sonic Adventure 2 performed the best, taking the 3rd spot overall for the week. Not far behind was the original Sonic Adventure, coming in at 6th. The original and at present not yet touched by Taxman / Stealth edition of Sonic the Hedgehog came in 8th, with Sonic 4: Episode II, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 coming in 13th, 14th and 15th respectively. Oddly enough, the Taxman remastered Sonic CD only charted 19th. It certainly makes one wonder what kind of Sonic game fans are looking for these days.
Four other Sega published games–Guardian Heroes, The Cave, Sega Bass Fishing and Jet Set Radio–placed 5th, 10th, 11th, and 20th respectively.
