Strong Start for 1st Sega Published Relic Title
Embedded within Sega Sammy’s quarterly earnings report was firm guidance on how well Sega and Relic’s Company of Heroes 2 performed during the quarter. Given how the game slipped in just as the fiscal quarter ended, it didn’t perform bad at all.
The report states that 380,000 copies of CoH2 were sold for the period ending June 30th. Considering the game released on June 25th, moving that much in six days is quite an accomplishment.
Elswhere, the company still considers Phantasy Star Online 2 a “Major title,” according to the report. There is no mention of Sonic Lost World, the remastered Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, or the domestic release of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F.
