Sequel Still Has Legs
Have you heard of NVIDIA’s new Tegra 4 powered portable console dubbed Shield? Until today, none of us did. But it hasn’t stopped Sega from extending the Sonic the Hedgehog 4 brand despite lukewarm fan reception at best. Today, the company announced Shield systems will come bundled with the special THD version of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II.
Players who purchase the Android powered portable can enjoy the special enhanced version, which is also equipped with Immersion Haptic Vibration Feedback.
The Shield itself has a built in controller and touchscreen, as well as wi-fi capability. It is also a $299 system. For that kind of change, you may be better off saving for a Wii U and Sonic Lost World, with the added anticipation of whether the latest 2D Sonic will ever be released digitally on Nintendo’s system.
