UPDATE / CLEAN FEED: New Sonic Lost World Footage Shown at Summer of Sonicby Tristan Oliver August 5, 2013
Extended Gameplay Footage for Fans in Attendance
Maybe those 13 short seconds it took for fans to gobble up tickets to this year’s Summer of Sonic were worth it. Not only did fans get a hands-on demo with Sonic Lost World, but both Sega and the show organizers showed off new gameplay footage from the game’s Wii U version to attendees and livestream viewers alike.
The video showed off actual desert portions of Desert Ruins, as well as more of Silent Forest. Numerous classic badniks make an appearance and we get a better idea of how Sonic’s parkour physics and general navigation across these winding worlds play out.
Organizers originally asked for the footage to not be re-uploaded. UPDATE: Good news for those looking for something a bit cleaner: SOS audiovisual leads headed by TSS subsidiary The Sonic Show have this afternoon posted a clean feed of the video in question for all to enjoy via Youtube.
