Sonic Lost World “First Play” Marathon Announced

by August 25, 2013

Ian Flynn and David Oxford Get Lost

We’re still months away from the launch of Sonic Lost World, but a few intrepid gamers are already lining up charity marathons for the game. David Oxford, writer for Nintendo Force magazine, recently announced his intention to hold a livestreamed 24-hour marathon of Sonic Lost World with donations and proceeds tentatively set to benefit the Sick Kids Foundation. He will be joined by popular Archie Comics writer Ian Flynn, and the event is co-sponsored by UDON Entertainment, publisher of The History of Sonic the Hedgehog. The two plan on discussing the game as they play live on a Twitch stream, and they will take questions for Flynn from the event’s live chat.

The marathon is currently set to occur on Saturday, October 26th, just a few days after the game’s official release. The event is still in the works and a lot can change between now and when it should take place, so we’ll keep you informed if any new developments arise. You can read more about the marathon and what the two have planned at poisonmushroon.org. If you’re interested in donating money or unused streaming equipment to what should be a worthy cause, you can do so by emailing David at david.oxford (at) nyteworks.net or donating through their PayPal account, the link to which can be found in the poisonmushroom.org article.
