Another stretch goal hit
Good news, MegaMan fans: Keiji Inafune’s Mighty No. 9 is officially coming to the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii U, thanks to it reaching its latest Kickstarter stretch goal:
$2,200,000: PS3/X360/WIIU CONSOLE VERSIONS: REACHED!!!
This one deserves ALL CAPS AND THREE EXCLAMATION MARKS! Now we can bring this game to the audience that made the genre what it is in the first place: console gamers! Specifically, we’ll make digital versions for release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U platforms. (You’ll be given the option to choose any of these instead of the PC version.)
Thank you so much to all the fans who made this dream possible!
With most of the month still to go, Mighty No. 9 will undoubtedly reach several more stretch goals before its funding ends – with an “Online Co-op” stretch goal undoubtedly being one of the bigger future milestones. According to Kicktraq.com, a site geared towards estimating Kickstarter funding, Mighty No. 9 could raise as much as $3,900,000 – not only reaching all of their Kickstarter stretch goals, but exceeding them by nearly $600,000. Only time will tell if this actually happens.
What do you guys think? Will Mighty No. 9 reach all of its goals? Have you contributed to the Kickstarter? Drop us a comment.
