Let’s hope this is a typo

A news tip from Ajavalo points us toward the official English-language website for Sonic Lost World over at Sonicthehedgehog.com. The site’s region setting defaults to those of you out there in the United Kingdom – for those of us in the United States, you have to specify the American Flag in the drop down menu at the top right corner of the site. Doing so changes something very important: the game’s release date, from October 18th (UK) to… November 29th (USA).

Now, we’ve known that Lost World was delayed in the United States – from October 22nd to October 29th. Most likely, the November date is merely a typo – but it’s one that’s made twice on the same page (four times, if you count switching to the “3DS Version” of the website). Adding further confusion to the matter, going to Sega.com’s own page for Lost World still lists the game as coming out on October 22nd.

When (or if?) it’s fixed to reflect the correct date, we’ll update this article as necessary.

UPDATE (10/06)

Aaron Webber has confirmed the November 29th date is indeed a typo, and that it will be fixed shortly.
