A Baker’s Dozen for Major Community Hub
Today marks thirteen years since The Sonic Stadium first began its trip toward becoming one of the Sonic community’s premier websites. On October 24, 2000, the website opened on Angelfire for the first time.
Now a dot-com with its own servers and a strong staff across both the main site and the SSMB filled with depth and the main drive behind the origins of Summer of Sonic, there is plenty for TSS to be proud of in its storied legacy.
“It was on this day, 13 years ago, when I launched the original website on an Angelfire.com account… and was using catchphrases like ‘Stay ICE’… and… and, God, I feel really old today,” noted TSS founder Svend Joscelyne on the website’s front page today. Whatever you feel like doing. Just know that no matter how crazy you are in celebrating the site’s age, I still think you’re all very special people. (In a good way, btw).
We join the rest of the Sonic community in wishing Sonic Stadium and its staff congratulations.

fuck dat site
…….Why? What’s your problem with them?
Why can’t we be one big happy Sonic community? It is for reasons exactly like this that the Sonic community gets pegged as an immature, rowdy and contentious bunch by a lot of people–yes, even many casual web users who I know personally seem to somehow have formed an opinion about this. A comment like this being on TSSZ News which gets millions of views annually certainly doesn’t help any in reversing this image, either.
What’s with you.
Happy birthday TSS! I’d give you my $5 but unfortunately IT’S MINE.
*runs*
Happy Birthday!!! TSSZ and Sonic Stadium are my fave Sonic sites of all time!! Seconded by the Sonic Adventure 3 facebook page.
Once again, Happy XIIIth Birthday S.S.!! Don’t worry, 13 may be awkward, but 14 and 15 will be where it’s REALLY at!
Congratulations to them!
Happy 13th Anniversary to Sonic Stadium!
That’s the second time “dozen” was used in a subtitle ( http://www.tssznews.com/2013/10/24/9th-circuit-upholds-penderssegaea-case-dismissal/ ) xD Not to imply anything though, it’s just uncommon so I thought that it was cool.
