A Baker’s Dozen for Major Community Hub

Today marks thirteen years since The Sonic Stadium first began its trip toward becoming one of the Sonic community’s premier websites. On October 24, 2000, the website opened on Angelfire for the first time.

Now a dot-com with its own servers and a strong staff across both the main site and the SSMB filled with depth and the main drive behind the origins of Summer of Sonic, there is plenty for TSS to be proud of in its storied legacy.

“It was on this day, 13 years ago, when I launched the original website on an Angelfire.com account… and was using catchphrases like ‘Stay ICE’… and… and, God, I feel really old today,” noted TSS founder Svend Joscelyne on the website’s front page today.  Whatever you feel like doing. Just know that no matter how crazy you are in celebrating the site’s age, I still think you’re all very special people. (In a good way, btw).

We join the rest of the Sonic community in wishing Sonic Stadium and its staff congratulations.
