Relive Sega’s glory days next month
For a company most well known for the fastest hedgehog in the word, Sega’s been taking things nice and slow lately. It took them 9 months just to announce that their “3D Classics” line of Nintendo 3DS games were coming to America and Europe, and it’s taken them an additional 3-4 months just to set prices and release dates. By the time these games come out on the 3DS eShop, it’ll have been more than a full year since they started debuting in Japan, all for a bunch of old Sega games that were translated in to English more than a decade ago.
Each of the Sega 3D Classics games will sell for $5.99/€4.99/£4.49, starting with…
- 3D Space Harrier, 3D Super Hang-On – 11/28/2013
- 3D Sonic The Hedgehog, 3D Altered Beast – 12/5/2013
- 3D Ecco the Dolphin™, 3D Galaxy Force II – 12/12/2013
- 3D Shinobi III, 3D Streets of Rage – 12/19/2013
While it’s important to note that Sega is being pretty leisurely about this, I suppose we should be thankful that they’re getting released at all, unlike some other games (ahem, PSO2). Slow and steady wins the race, I guess.
