The 3DS Drop More Manageable
Given that week 2 was a full week of opportunity for Sonic Lost World, one would hope that the game could gain a full head of steam before the Holiday season’s major releases. But we already know the numbers are down officially from GFK and continue to be so. Now, with some unofficial guidance from VGChartz, we have a better idea of how much bleeding Sega needs to stop.
The website, which we again remind is not considered an official data aggregator, posted week 2 sales for Lost World in Europe. On the Wii U, the game fell from sales of more than 10,000 across Europe to just above 4,300, which is a 58 percent decline week to week. On the 3DS, the drop was much more manageable, from just under 4,100 to 3,600 and change, a 10.8 percent drop.
Even though they are unofficial, those are not good trends, and we already know the dip is deeper in week 3. When we get data for that–as well as any US data–we will pass it along here.
