No Way? Yeah, Way!

The Special Stage from Sonic 3 & Knuckles is one of the most beloved in the entire franchise. There’s something about those blue spheres, that 3D perspective, that music…I don’t know. I really like it. So, if you like it as much as I do, you may be interested in this: an absolutely gorgeous 3D incarnation of the stage that’s playable on your Windows PC. The game is called Blue Spheres Forever, and its development was spearheaded by SFGHQ member erbuka85. In addition to recreating the original gameplay with amazing accuracy, the game goes above and beyond the call of duty by including a level editor, remastered sounds, and the ability for you to import your own textures into the game.

Instead of just reading about it, you really should see it for yourself. We’ve included some screenshots and a trailer for Blue Spheres Forever below. You can visit the project’s website here, and you can download it here. If you want to show the project even more love, you can check out its Facebook page here. As always, we’re on the lookout for fan works to spotlight, so if you have a project you want the world to know about, let us know as fansonfriday@tssznews.com!
