The Lost Hex in North America Now Really Lost
In case you wondered how Sonic Lost World has been doing lately–perhaps as a precursor for Sonic Boom‘s potential success–the answer is not very well.
Data revealed in the latest NPD sales report from February and relayed to Nintendo Everything shows that Lost World on the Wii U has only sold about 94,000 units. That’s not for just February. That is a lifetime total, counting everything since the October launch. You may remember that Lost World had only clocked 82,000 units sold on Wii U through December, so there has, expectedly, been significant drop-off since the Holidays ended. Bear in mind: These are not unofficial estimates; the NPD data in North America is considered official.
No data on the 3DS side was immediately available, and it’s not clear what, if anything, this could mean for some upcoming Legend of Zelda themed DLC planned for Lost World later this year.
