Developer diary about the sound of the gameAlien fans know that a very important part of what makes the alien atmosphere is the special feeling the music and sound effects put in the choking feeling of being helpless in space, being hunted by a horrible creature.
The Creative Assembly, developers of Alien: Isolation, the latest SEGA venture on this classical science fiction movie IP, have taken a huge effort on recreating that feeling the original 70’s movie had, and the sound is part of what is it. To do so, they have recreated the same process the original team followed to make the sound of the classic film, and arranged their own orchestra to record the music of the game, with some very talented musicians who have worked on the original film score.
This and more is told by The Creative Assembly on the latest trailer of the game that SEGA released today. And if you want to know more about Alien: Isolation, you can also read the preview we published earlier today, by Michael Westgarth.
Alien: Isolation is coming to PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC at October 7th.
