A New Audience for 3D SFG Toolkit
It’s been a while since we’ve kept tabs on SonicGDK, the Unreal based toolkit for fan game developers to create their own Sonic title. In SAGE coverage, we’ve mentioned the numerous titles that have taken advantage of SonicGDK, including Sonic Lost Adventure and Project AXSX.
Now, a whole new audience can take advantage of the suite. Creator Xaklse today released a Mac OS build for SonicGDK, available now for download. The release joins an existing Windows build, and source code release. We should note this is the Release 6 build, and not the Release 8 for Windows that was available during SAGE. That means some of the newest features and tweaks aren’t yet available to Mac users.
