A Gigabyte of Fixes Coming Your Way
It’s no secret that Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric suffers from a multitude of glitches and other shortcomings. Now, it looks like Sega and what’s left of Big Red Button Entertainment are attempting to right some of the game’s wrongs; a fairly large patch for the game has started to become available for the game.
The patch, which comes in at over a gigabyte in size, brings the game up to version 1.1.0. Exactly what the patch has changed is unclear, but some users have reported slightly smoother frame rates during speed sections and possible (though unconfirmed) improvements to lighting and other effects.
Sega has not yet released patch notes for the update, so details at this point are still few and far between. Have you seen any major changes with the new patch? If so, feel free to discuss what you’ve noticed in the comments below. We thank French Rabbit for bringing the patch to our attention.
