They left the freaking color palate swatches on the last page; what a rush job. Nothing Sonic Team related ever gets the development time it needs.

Sonic Stadium covered this comic and gave a link which had finished pages. No clue why the twitter one has swatch colour on it.

So there more than 4 pages for this Sonic Forces online comic?

I bet it will be in Feb. 2018 Previews we might get a page or two previewing the first issue of IDW’s Sonic the Hedgehog comic book which is the first of 4 weekly issues before going on the May 2018-present monthly basis.

No, they did not. More likely than not, their social media team grabbed the wrong files and made the silly mistake of putting the old, pre-finalized files up. No biggie. Either way, it is a minor error and nothing to get all worked up about or to get feathers flustered over. The artwork is rather impressive and the IDW quality standards are really beaming brightly. It sounds like you are grasping for straws and are just need a brief break from Sonic–go outside and get a breath of fresh air. I reported a minor typo (“see the sites” instead of “see the sights”) to Nintendo on their Super Mario Odyssey official website. However, that minor speck of a blemish is inconsequential and it does not take away from the game’s overall quality. Mere mortal goof-ups and silly everyday mistakes are inevitable and are simply par for the course if the end goal is met boldly and positively. Should I point out that you forgot to include a hyphen in “Sonic Team-related?” Get too caught up in the minor details and you will soon easily miss out on the passion and soul of the big picture of life.

Excuse me? When I made my comment, I had not seen the finished pages because both Twitter and Tumblr had uploaded the wrong pages; I had no reason to assume there were other versions of the pages floating around the net. Other commentors pointed out to me already that the finished pages werenout there, but you are the only one insinuating that I am somehow at fault for criticizing what was shown off to perhaps the largest audience, when I did not know there was even an alternative.

This is not going to be a preview of the due to launch in April 2018 IDW Sonic the Hedgehog comic book relaunch series, is it?

Cool stuff! I’m very happy for all the attention Sonic Forces is getting, and the franchise as a whole, this is truly the year of Sonic!

Also I kind of feel Sonic Forces may start a new status quo for Sonic…

Why a new status quo for Sonic even before his IDW comics get released?

The story of Forces looks way different from the past games, almost every main character is back with new purposes, I feel this will be a new status quo for Sonic just like Sonic Adventure and Sonic Colors were in their time.

What status quo the friends just stand around blabbering endlessly never being playable just like every game since Unleashed.
The story is Eggman wins from the start, new edgy character is better than Sonic OMG, Sonic and his NPC friend hoard must band together to win the day, Shadow, Metal Sonic and Chaos are back as bosses and Classic Sonic is a mute these are all story elements from previous games and that’s just the tip of that iceberg’m not seeing much new here expect Donut Steel.

          @DTH1971

He means the custom character, donut steel means “do not steal”, a phrase often used for Sonic fan characters.

Good start, really am looking forward to the rest of the story. Though seriously they could not give physical copies of this at the panel they just had?

Maybe the people at IDW gave a coupon for a free IDW comic of their choice during the rest of the NYCC instead…

It’s weird seeing other animal characters in a mainstream sonic game because besides Rise of Lyric only humans have been shown alongside sonic and friends.

That’s why I specifically said main stream game and not comic or cartoon. The freedom fighters never appeared in the games besides that spinball cameo.

And now, Super Mario Odyssey is instead picking up where SEGA left off and is dabbling in humans and cartoon characters interacting with one another in the same area of space. That is not to say Nintendo is not doing a good job at it, though I am a bit skeptical of Odyssey’s very open and empty levels. It is just cool to see two major, previously opposing game companies switching the styles of worlds (pseudo-realism and fictional) in their games at basically the same point in time in history.

Well, I wouldn’t want IDW to launch a Super Mario Bros. comic book since in April 2018 they will relaunch Sonic in comic book form.

Also in Sonic Rush Adventure, but that’s a whole different dimension.

I think is cool to have more “mobian” characters and I wouldn’t mind if humans still exist somewhere else in that world.
