Presenting a new, somewhat regularly scheduled feature called Final Focus, a series that highlights the best interviews conducted on TSSZ News Final, a live, somewhat regularly scheduled longform interview program airing Saturday nights on TSSZ Plus.
In this edition of the Final Focus, we present a two part video interview with the core development team behind Sonic Robo Blast 2. This year, SRB2 will mark its 20th anniversary in the Sonic community. It is one of the longest continuously supported fan projects in the community–and it’s still run and updated off of the Doom engine.
In our interview, I asked team members AJ Freda, Rob Tisdell, Logan Arias, and original SRB developer Johnny Wallbank to reflect on the fan game’s long lasting legacy–as well as what’s to come from the recently teased version 2.2, and if there will ever be an end to SRB2’s development.
