This morning, the 2018 Sonic Hacking Contest officially kicked off.
This year, three dozen entries across a wide variety of 2D and 3D Sonic mods and hacks are competing in the judged portion of the competition. You’ll find adjustments on everything from Sonic 1 to Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces to try out.
The non-judged expo portion of the show is full of community content as well, with more than two dozen works shared in the category, ranging from the wonderful to occasionally weird.
Numerous community streamers will be playing entries all throughout the week. Donnie (SSF1991) will be streaming two hours of contest entries each day of the show–and three hours this upcoming weekend–beginning at Noon ET on TSSZ Plus. Here on the website, we’re planning to take closer looks at some of the judged entries as well as the week rolls on.
The contest results show announcing the top professionally judged and community voted honors will air at 3PM ET on Sunday.
Keep it here as we take you through all of this year’s Sonic Hacking Contest, now in its 16th year of operation.
