With combined hat tips to 4gamer and SonicWindBlue on Twitter, we’re getting our first look at the arcade edition of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, in testing this weekend only at a couple of Sega’s Joypolis arcades in Tokyo.
The arcade location test includes four events, including the 100-meter dash and discus. It’s almost a lock to replace the current Mario and Sonic arcade cabinets currently dotted around the world once the game is finalized later this year.
But that’s not all – in addition to the screenshots in the gallery below, we also have a short video of the arcade version in motion to share.
