A deleted Tweet from a Nintendo account suggests version 4 will drop shortly thereafter on Wednesday, but while probable, it’s not clear whether Hero will necessarily be a part of that update.
Version 4, as with other major revisions, is expected to include an overhaul of balance tweaks for all fighters, at a minimum. Many fans are hoping and speculating that a fan favorite, Home Run Contest, could also be a part of the update. Certainly that’s a lot of a time to be spending on just one character.
Smash director Masahiro Sakurai will chair the Direct. We’ll bring you any relevant details here when it airs.
