Scene:60 Video Producer
TSSZ is looking for a video wizard and gaming news go-getter to research, write, edit, and publish our weekly Scene:60 video segment to Youtube and other platforms.
Candidates must possess basic editing skills and the ability to publish video on a quick turnaround. You can edit on your preferred platform–be it Premiere, Avid, Final Cut Pro, or Vegas. Experience with motion graphics is a plus. Candidates must also have working knowledge of WordPress and can respond quickly to developing news. The ability to SEO for Youtube and extend Scene:60’s reach onto other platforms, including social media, is essential.
Qualified candidates will have access to a supportive environment, and a staff with years of experience covering the Sonic and Sega communities.
General Assignment Reporter (Sega News)
TSSZ has an open position for a general assignment reporter. We’re not your ordinary gaming site, and we don’t only relay press releases. We believe in independent reporting, clarity, depth, fairness, and integrity. We’re not afraid of the controversial, either. For that reason, we are among the world’s top resources for Sonic and Sega news, reviews, and commentary. We also go Beyond Blue, reporting on other relevant gaming news.
Candidates must be willing to research, gather, and report news independently, at the rate of 3 to 5 stories a week. Candidates must exercise good news judgment, and must balance company relations and press opportunities with independent newsgathering that may not always be positive. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding skills in spelling, grammar, and composition. Candidates must have working knowledge of WordPress, and be able to respond quickly to developing news. Podcasting and on-the-scene spot coverage experience preferred.
Qualified candidates will have access to a supportive environment, including a staff that isn’t afraid to take risks. Your work will be seen by a monthly reader base well into six figures.
